Droids - The Star Wars Cartoon

Star Wars: Droids, The adventures of R2D2 and C3PO was a TV cartoon series originally aired in 1985.

Set between the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope, the animation looks pretty basic by today's CGI standards.

Below is the original intro to the show. Notice, R2D2 plays himself. That must have been interesting negotiating contracts for that one. :op .Anthony Daniels, as ever, provided the voice of the Protocol droid, C3PO.

The continuing stories tell of the adventures and scrapes the two iconic droids get into with new masters before they meet with Luke Skywalker in a New Hope. Although, with the events of the new animated Clone Wars series set in the same time frame it is likely these events maybe now be somewhat skewed.

The title them, "Trouble Again" was written and performed by Stuart Copeland of the Police.

The series consisted of 15 episodes which averaged 30 minutes in length.

Good fun, but pretty silly too. Not to be taken that seriously in the realms of the Star Wars Universe Timeline.

The Episodes were,

1.The White Witch
2.Escape Into Terror
3.The Trigon Unleashed
4.A Race to the Finish
5.The Lost Prince
6.The New King
7.The Pirates of Tarnoonga
8.The Revenge of Kybo Ren
9.Coby and the Starhunters
10.The Tail of the Roon Comets
11.The Roon Games
12.Across the Roon Sea
13.The Frozen Citadel
14.The Great Heep (1)
15.The Great Heep (2)
